The weather has "been otherwise than pleasant locally during the past few days, and the hills surrounding Lyttelton were snow-capped on Saturday and yesterday. The Maori from Wellington did not arrive in Lyttelton till after one o'clock yesterday afternoon, being delayed by head winds and seas, also by the fact that she came down with one boiler short. Several of the passengers had a bad time, but according to the '' old hands'' there was nothing exceptional experienced on the run down as regards tlie weather*
