BALCAIRN.
A meeting of residents was held on Monday last with the object of forming a Social Club. There was a good attendance, and the following officers were elected: —Chairman, Mr ;C. Fitz- - Patrick; secretary and treasurer, Mr A. Drou; committee, Messrs W. Celcher, D. Moore, J. Fleming, T. Sutherland.. , It was decided, to hold the first social on Tuesday next, 19th inst., when a, euchre tournament will take place. It was also agreed to hold a dance on .June 8.
