LAWN TENNIS.
To morrow the following games set down to be played last Saturday, and postponed on account of the weather, will be got off in the Junior B Grade Competition of the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association : —Sumner a bye. Opawa Av. New Brighton, at New •Brighton. Addington A v. Catholic Cathedral, at Addington. St. Albans v. United, at St. Albans. Linwood v. Catholic Cathedral B, at Catholic Cathedral; Avonside v. South Christchurch, at South Christchureh. Opawa B v. Addington B, at Opawa. As it is now certain that St. Albans are the winners, it is to be expected that several matches will go by default. The Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association has not., yet decided on what date the Senior Competition shall be commenced, but the Match Committee is meeting on Tuesday, and Saturday, May 23, is regarded as the most probable date. The teams wjiicli have entered are Opawa, Canterbury College, St. Albans, Avon-side, and Linwood. If to-morrow is wet,-the junior games will be declared off and the competition closed. The actual points scored, as recorded by the association, are not yet available for publication.
