Madame Banding, the wife of a ship's doctor, has been appointed captain of a trans-Atlantic steamship, sailing from Copenhagen. The crew were at first somewhat disgusted at having to obey a woman, but when she demonstrated her thorough "seamanship" they became her devoted admirers.
