The latter ranked as presidents last season. The Richmond .Club, which played teams in the "junior and fourth grades, has dropped out of the running altogether. Among the presidents, Canterbury College, Linwood, and Christchurch each find it impossible to run two teams as formerly, and have one apiece, though this is somewhat compensated for by the advent of a new team (Belfast). There are no fewer than four new entrants into the fourth tgrade, they being Lyttelton, Boys' High School, Old Boys, and North Canterbury, the only -withdrawal' being Richmond. ASHBURTON SUB-UNION. The entries for the. competition controlled by the A'sliburton Rugby Football Sub-union, which is affiliated- to the Canterbury Rugby Union, are as follow: — SENIOR. Rakaia, Springburn, Methven, Southern Cross, Old Boys. JUNIOR. Hinds, Lismore, Ashburton, Southern Cross. THIRD GRADE. Springburn, Rakaia, High School, Ashburton, Southern Cross, Old Boys. The new clubs are Hinds and Lismore in the junior grade. LYTTELTON BEATS O'KAIN'S BAY. On the Lyttelton Recreation Ground this afternon a return match was played betw r een O'Kain's Bay and Lyttelton. The home team won by 10 points to 3. Tries were scored for Lyttelton by StanI ley and Whithen, both of -which were converted by Kaine. E. Moore scored a try for O'Kain's Bay. DUNEDIN MATCHES., Press Association. DUNEDIN,. April 18. To-day's Rugby matches resulted as follow: — Zingari-Riehmond (17) beat Pirates (3). Southern (20) beat Dunedin (8). Otago University (20) beat Alham-, bra (3). Kaikorai (16) beat Port Chalmers (5). OLD CLUB. A meeting of the Committee of the Old Boys' Rugby Football Club was held at the Boys' High School, all members being present. It was stated that the Devenish Shield Tournament had been postponed, and that the games would most likely be played later in the season, when a full team could be got away. It was decided to enter four teams in the C.R.U. competitions, one team in each of the Senior, Junior, President's Cup, and Fourth Class Grades. 'The Fourth Class team was entered to cater for the number of junior members who were unable to be played in the President 's XJup team last year. LEAGUE GAME. ST. ALBANS CLUB. There was a good attendance* at the annual meeting of the St. Albans League; Football Club, over which Mr A. R. Brunsden presided. The-'balance sheet, which disclosed that the club was jn a healthy condition-' financially, was adopted. ' : The following office-bearers were elected: —President, Mr F.
