FAILED TO HAPPEN. Owing to A. Bonis and 11. ..Gibson refusing, to take part in the 100 miles Diuilop cycle race the event had to be postponed. All Christchurch and Woodend competitors were present,.but •as there had to be ten competitors in the race, to fulfil the conditions, and the. withdrawal of Bonis and Gibson' reduced the number to eight, there was no..race. ■ Neither Gibson nor Bonis announced his .intention of pulling out until .1Q o'clock this morning, and strong resent-? ment at their action is expressed; by the other entrants.
