CANTERBURY COLLEGE.
It is hoped to begin the construction of the new building for the Canterbury College Public Library very shortly, the plans for which are now being prepared. It is the intention of the Professorial Board, which undertook to raise £2OOO for the erection of the building, to invite lecturers to deliver addresses in the College Hall as a means of adding to the fund, and those who intend to subscribe for this purpose arc asked to send in their subscriptions as soon as possible.
