THE NAVAL SCANDAL.

REINSTATED STOKERS. THEIR PRINCIPAL GRIEVANCE. By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright. (Received April 8, 8.20 a.m.) LONDON, April 7. The reinstatement of the H.M.S. Zealandia's stokers is confirmed. It is stated that the principal grievance was that they were selected for punishment-as seniors and not as ringleaders. [Eight stokers on the H.M.S. Zealandia were sentenced to two years' imprisonment for insubordination. The Zealandia is a first-class battleship of the Mediterranean Squadron. It was subsequently announced that the Admiralty had reinstated the stokers and superseded Commander Halton Lecky, of the Zealandia, at the same time expressing disapprobation of '' certain incidents'' in Arosa Bay, on the west coast of Spain.
