KAIAPOI EASTER CARNIVAL.

The Easter Monday carnival which is - promoted by the Kaiapoi Cycling Club, should attract a large and representative gathering judging by the excellent entries received. The nominations include some gf the best axemen, cyclists, and runners from all parts of the Dominion. The promoters are confident that the carnival wi|l eclipse the record Maori carnival held in 1907. Arrangements have been made for refreshment booths, fruit and lollie stalls, and various side-show entertainments for young and old, and visitors can be assured )of a good day 's sport. A special train will leave Christchurch for 1 Kaiapoi at 10.20 a.m., returning from Kaiapoi at 5.40 p.m. In the evening a: picture entertainment by the Alexander Picture Company will be given, and a grand dance will be held in the drill hall. A late train will leave Kaiapoi fdr Christchurch. at 12.30 a.m.
