The "Morning Post's" Peking correspondent states that a British firm has obtained the Nanking-Hunan railway concession, which is the most important ever granted to a Britisher. This stops the Japanese project for. a railway from Fukien into the Yangtze Valley, and secures~"British control of the most important, lines in the Canton, Hankow, and Shanghai triangle. The control of the entire Shanghai - Ningpo railway is only a matter of time.
