GOVERNMENT DEFEATED. PREMIER SEEKS DISSOLUTION. By dable. —Press Association.—Copyright, lIOBART, April 2. The Solomon Government has been defeated by 15 to 14. The Hon. A. E. Solomon, the Prime Minister, applied for a, dissolution after the no-confidence motion had been carried. The Governor has not yet replied. [A recent cable message stated — "The Assembly will find itself in a unique position when it meets on February 25. Mr Evans intends to resign the Speakership and take his seat on the floor of the House. This will make the parties equally divided, and without a Speaker."]
