A violent storm, accompanied by a gale and deluge of rain, passed over the city, last night. Considerable damage was done to property. _ Several people were struck by lightning: One man was killed under a tree in Centennial Park, where General Sir l'an Hamilton was reviewing 23,000 troops. Sir lan Hamilton was greatly impressed by the manner in which the Cadets unflinchingly faced the elements. •
