FOOTBALL.
CHRISTCHURCH CLUB. The forty-seventh annual meeting of the Christchurch Football Club was held last evening in the ■ Pioneer Booms. The balance-sheet showed that the elub had a balanee of £32 to its credit. The report showed a membership of twelve life members and 146 active and six country members. The chairman said he was pleased to note that the club in a good financial position. For this they were greatly indebted to the ,eare and energy of the treasurer, Mr Williams. He mpved the adoption of the report and balance-sheet. Mr D. Hoaxe seconded the motion, which was carried. Fifteen new members were elected'. The following officers were ejected:— President, Mr John Anderson; vicepresidents, Messrs J. R. Evans, J. S. Middleton, N. L. Macßeth, T. L. Cowlishaw, and D|. Hoare; captain, Mr C. S. M'Cully; deputy, Mr W. J. .Morgan; honorary secretary, Mr H. R. T. Spanjer; honorary treasurer, Mr 1 H. T. Williams; honorary assistant secretary, % Mr D. C. Inglis; honorary -assistant treasurer, Mr E. V. Phillips; committee, Messrs C. E. Stonyer, A. Mac Donald, D. E. Millar, and L. C. Matson; honorary auditors, Messrs R. W. Morgan and V. Robinson; delegates to C.8.F.U., Messrs W. J. Morgan, H. B. T. Spanjer, E. T. Harper, and 3>. E. Millar; delegate to Training Hall Committee, Mr C. S. M'Cully; selector (seniors), Mr D< E. Millar. Some proposed amendments to the rules were dealt with, and the training accommodation was discussed and its improvement recommended to the committee. Saturday, March 28, at 3 p.m., was fixed for the opening day of the season. ' EASTERN CLUB. The annual meeting of the Eastern Club was held on Monday. The bal-ance-sheet showed that the club was in a good financial position. The following officers were elected: — President, Mr A. C. Maxwell; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs H* G. Wake, J. S. Kennedy, E. Cummings, F. Malzard, and S. C. Owen, and Dr Sandstein; captain, Mr A. Malzard; vice-captain, Mr B. Hobbs; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr H. S. Feast; selection committee, captain, vice-captain, and coach; general committee, Messrs Donaldson, Hooper, Turpin, Herdley, and • Kirk. [ A vote of thanks was passed to the Linwood Club for the use of its trainling shed. It was decided to commence • practice on Saturday, March 28. ADDINGTON LEAGUE CLUB. The annual meeting of the Addington Rugby League Football Club was held Tuesday night, Mr D. Brown presiding. The annual report stated that the club started the last season with a membership of 17, and concluded with a membership of 90. The senior team tied for second place in the Thacker Shield competition, and the junior team won the Junior Flag. The financial position of the club was very satisfactory. Moore; auditors, Messrs E. Foster and J. J. Stevens; senior selectors, Messrs H. F. Garrard, E. J. Foster, and the captain of the team.
