The Duma Committee of Agriculture and Finance has adopted a tax on grain, peas, and beans, *at the rate of thirty kopeks per pood as a counter measure to the veiled export bounties granted on German exports to Russia. [A pood is equal to 401b, and the kopek is the equivalent of the English farthing.]
