SOCIAL DEMOCRATIC PARTY.
MB SEMPLE RETURNS. Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 8. Mr R. Semple, organiser of the Federation of Labour, returned to Wellington from Australia to-day. Mr Semple stated that he had been well received, and, had he wished, he could have obtained £SOOO instead of £IOQO for organising the Social-Democratic Party. He was surprised at the knowledge displayed by the Australian public iij. the New Zealand labour movement. Broken Jlill was the stronghold of unionism, and the Australian Miners' Association was willing, if necessary, to assist the Social-Demo-cratic Party with funds.
