LYTTELTON LADIES' POLITICAL CLUB.

An enthusiastic meeting of women was held in the Club Hall, Lyttelton, recently, and was presided over by Mrs J. M. Miller. After several ladies from Christcliurch had addressed the meeting, it was decided to form a Political Club, for the education of women in politics, and with a view to working the district at elections. Mrs J. A. Newell was elected president and a strong committee was formed. Arrangements are being made for Mesdames C. Earle and Hadfield to address a meeting next Saturday evening.
