HOCKEY.
A CLUB DISBANDS. . "® l At its annual meeting last evening the Drapers' Hockey Club decided to disband, owing to the lack of interest which the trade shows in it. It was stated that several members had joined other clubs, and no new ones were forthcoming. A few years ago the club had five teams —now it had only five members, of whom two were drapers and three grocers. - Yet the club w&s in a good financial position. It was decided that the club's credit balance of £5 1/6 should be used for the purchase of a cup for the senior comper tition, to be called the Drapers' Hockey Cup, that the Canterbury Hockey Association be recommended to provide that the cup become the property of any team which wins it thrice in succession. The president (Mr W. P. Davidson) and the secretary (Mr C. Forbes) were deputed to ascertain the centre's wishes in the matter.
