Tho Diocesan Board of Education has appointed Mrs. Macpherson, who is now in England, to lie headmistress of Craighead Girls’ School. Timaru, in place oil Miss fialmond, who died in tragic circumstances at St. George's Hospital, a few weeks ago. Mrs. Macpherson was'educated in England and Scotland, and is a Master ol Arts of Edinburgh University. She has taught in Canada and England. Mrs. C. L. Young, M.A., Oxford, as-sistant-mistress at tlie Girls’ High School. Christchurch, has been appointed headmistress of St. Margaret’s College, Christchurch.
