WHALING SEASON
KOSMOS ARRIVES IN N.Z. j TWO NEW CHASERS COMING Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The Norwegian whaler Kosmos arrived yesterday drawing 35ft llin of water and weighed down with 18,000 tons of fuel oil, sufficient for herself and her nine chasers for the season. Two new chasers in addition to the seven new in Wellington were expected, bat these are coming straight from the shipyards in England to Tasmania, from where they will go south to join the Kosmos and the other chasers. If a good season is experienced it is likely that a chartered oil-tanker maygo south to collect the cargo of whaleoil so as to allow the Kosmos to continue hunting later in the season. The Kosmos and the chasers sail at the end of this week.
