Bruce McLachlan, aged 40 years, a well-known farmer of Bogside, near Doyleston, was killed late on Saturday afternoon when the driving belt from a traction-engine which he was I operating in conjunction with a sawI bench came off, wrapped itself round | his chest and threw him into the j machinery. Death was instaneteous.
