The Ranfurly Shield was secured last week when Southland was defeated at Rugby, the Plunket Shield was won during last cricket season, the Chatham Cup was won as a result of Petone’s defeat of Western last Saturday, and the K Cup, for ladies’ hockey, will be held fc.r six months, as a result of the drawn game with Eastern Southland last Saturday. The Hockey Championship Shield and the Football Association Trophy are still held in other parts of the Dominion, the first in Canterbury and the latter at Auckland.
