Early in the ninth round the j referee heard McVey whisper to i Rudkins, “This is your round.” A i moment later the negro went down jto a light tap to the jaw. He rose I ! slowly at the count of eight, but the i disgusted referee declared it “no fight,’ i while *.OOO onlookers yelled ‘Fake’.” |
