SyPERANNUATION FUND CONTRIBUTORS INCREASE BOARD'S ANNUAL REPORT * Over the past few years, there has been u marked increase in the oon--1 tributors on the roll of the Teachers’ Superannuation Fund. The total on j January 31 of this year was 9,01*;. ; which is an increase of 335 on the previous year. This increase was not ias great as that of 1929 over 1325. when it reached 601. These facts are revealed In tho 23rd ; annual report of the Teachers’ Superannuation Board. The annual rate granted during the year was £21,630, a decrease on tin previous year’s figures, which stood at £24,462, but there was an increase for the total annual rate from £210.151 to £226,967. The number which discon tinued their superannuation during the year owing to death was 34, against 39 the previous year, and with oth**; causes 15, as compared with 14 in 1929 i SUBSIDY DECREASE The total Government subsid showed a decrease over 1929 of £16!!. bftt there is a marked increase in the (contributions which stand at £141,094. jas compared with £136,061 the prev- • ious year. Tho total expenditure for the year, which includes retiring and other allowances, refund of contributions, »ml administration expenses, etc., i.s £256,348, os compared with £237,913 for the previous year. The net revenue for tho year stands at £26,721, which is a decrease of £11,255 against the revenue for 1929. The total revenue recorded up to January of 1930 was £1,192,971. as against £1.176.277 for a corresponding period the previous year. , The total number which have entered the fund is 17.551 ot annual salaries amounting to £4,299,227. Of these, however, 7,965 have left, which means a reduction from the grand total of salaries of £1,769,087. Thus, the total existing at January 31 of tl,iis year wa c 9.616, at salaries amounting to a total of £2,530,140.
