SOLD AS A HULK

WAKATERE’S FUTURE The shell of the old paddle-steamer Wakatere has been bought for use as a hulk in the harbour. The ship was sold some months ago by the Northern Steamship Company to Mr. F. Appleton, of Newmarket, for breaking up purposes. He has stripped everything of value from her and yesterday sold the empty hull to Parry Bros., ship-owners and shingle merchants, of Auckland.
