STRAND

TWO FINE PICTURES A ta'kie comedy entitled “He Knew Women,” heads the current programme at the Strand Theatre. Lowell Sherman plays the part -o£ tho man. He is a superb actor and sustains the interest of the play without a pause. Opposite him. as a wealthy widow to whom he is engaged, is the lovely Alice Joyce. A few years ago nobody thought of fashions in bathing costumes. Any old thing that could be hired at the bathing-sheds was good enough to take a dip in. But today beach fashions are as important as any other, R.K.O.’s picture. “Tanned Legs,” which is the second feature at the Strand Theatre, sports all that is the very latest and smartest in male and female beach attire. Among the supporting items is the film record of the sinking of the Tahiti.
