BERNARD SHAW’S POLITICS FOR NEXT ELECTION LECTURES TO I.L.P. LONDON, Sunday. Mr. G. Bernard Shaw delivered an address at the Independent Labour Party’s summer school. He said the Government should produce a new Reform Bill providing for the establishment of a new constitution and flie abolition of the party system, and giving home'rule to England, Scotland and Wales. A circular has been sent to the Independent Labour Party’s members of the House of Commons, demanding their acceptance of the decisions of the Birmingham Conference in favour of “Socialism and internationalism in our time.” The “Daily Herald” says it understands that many of the members have refuged to accept the decisions in question, and are organising resistance to what they regard as an attempt to attack them by the members of the Left Wing of the party led by Mr. J. Maxton.
