PRETTY WEDDING AT HELENSVILLE
CHURCH IS BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED FOR CEREMONY NARBEY—OSMAN On June 25 a very ,pretty wedding was celebrated in St. Matthew’s Church, Helensville, when Laetitia Rose, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Osman, of Garfield Road, Helensville, was married to Royal Bruce, fifth son of Mr. and the late Mrs. T. W. Narbey, also of Helensville. The church was beautifully decorated by friends of the bride. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. Hill-Johnson and Mr. H. White presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of hand-painted ivory georgette, in tones of silver, blue and mauve, the skirt being ankle-length at the back. The semi-fitting corsage was finished with a cape collar and a tulle hip bow. Her lace-edged tulle veil, which was embroidered with silver and beads, was caught to the head with a coronet of pearl and orange blossom, and fell gracefully to form the train. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers. Miss Phyllis Megson and Miss Phyllis Thompson (Auckland), were bridesmaids, frocked alike in midnight blue georgette. They wore pleated tulle head-dresses trimmed with rosebuds and tulle streamers at one side. Their bouquets were of pink and blue flowers. Miss Maureen Osman, sister of the bride, was flower girl, and wore a dainty little frock of midnight blue georgette and a tulle head-dress. She carried a posy of pink and blue flowers. Mr. Gordon Narbey, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man, and Mr. Charles Keane, as groomsman Mr. W. E. Jones carried out the duties of usher. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Star Theatre. Mrs. Osman, the bride's mother, received her guests wearing a frock of blue figured velvet under a furtrimmed navy coat. A rose pink felt hat was worn to tone with the frock, and she carried a bouquet of autumntinted flowers.
