BRIDE CARRIES’ HYACINTHS AND WHITE AZALEAS
A HARMONY OF PINK AND TURQUOISE BLUE MILLER—STANNERS A very pretty wedding was celebrated recently at the Richmond Presbyterian Church, of Helen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. I>. Stanners, Richmond, to Gabriel Biggart, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Miller of Point Chevalier. The Rev. Angus MacDonald, officiated, and Miss E. P. Newton presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory satin beaute,
fashioned with georgette frifls and falling to the ankles to form an uneven hemline. A georgette train finished with a band of satin beaute fell in graceful folds from the shoulders. Her veil of ivory net bordered with lace was held in place by satin bands and earclusters of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of hyacinths and azaleas. In attendance were Miss Cath. Stanners, sister of the bride, and Miss Helen Anderson (Fapatoetoe), cousin of the bride, who wore turquoise blue and peach pink taffeta respectively, fashioned alike with tight fitting bodices and full Oared skirts, with uneven hemline of silk net. Large taffeta bows were placed across the backs of the dresses and felt and crinoline picture hats were worn. They carried shower, bouquets to tone Little Jane Anderson (Fapatoetoe), cousin oPthe bride, attended as flower girl, and was dressed in white satin beaute with tulle frills, falling to the ankles. A dainty white satin bonnet was also worn, and she carried a basket of spring flowers. Mr. A. Buchanan attended the bridegroom as best man, and Mr. P. Bell as groomsman. Mr. D. Miller, brother of the bridegroom, and Mr. W. Dunn carried out the duties as ushers. After the ceremony a reception was held at the Farmers’ Trading Company, where Mrs Stanners received her guests, wearing a frock of brown satin beaute and silk lace, and felt hat to tone. Airs. Miller, mother of the bridegroom, wore a frock of figured silk with hat to match. Both carried posies to tone.
