OIL AND GAS DRILLING
At the fifth annual meeting of Oil and Gas Investigations, Limited, held in Melbourne, the accounts showed that the concern held liquid assets valued at £762 and owed sundry creditors £1,938.
The company holds 7,150 shares in Taranaki Oilfields, New Zealand, and the directors reported that the Taranaki Company had continued drilling on the East Coast of the North Island Difficult drilling country in two recent wells made it necessary to defer the completion of these particular tests. The geological attractiveness was not affected, but further drilling in another part of the same district was expected to furnish valuable information as a guide to the continuance of the tests.
