OPPORTUNITY TO GAIN WINNING VOTES

Contestants Have Until Nodn Saturday To Take Advantage Of Bonus Votes

Yesterday, with the opening of the Winter Show, t rowels gathered arouud The Sun's booth, and many exclamations were heard as to the great value of the prizes offered in The Sun's competition. The Sun's booth depicts fully the prizes offered—an exact model of the Steeltex house is shown, and large photos of the prizes in the competition. The sentimeut expressed by everyone is: “How can The Sun give such magnificent rewards for so v little effort?" Contestants were busy in various parts of the grounds with subscription books out, writing up new subscriptions. Nearly everyone now realises that The Sun is a better paper; those who have'subscribed will realise that the paper is worth continuing, and therefore the contestants are not only getting new subscribers, but are getting extensions from those who have already paid once. The contestants are eagerly striving to make up their total of £lO iu order to get the 300,000 extra votes which are given for this week only. The wise contestant realises that this bonus which is given this week for his efforts is worth working for. These extra votes mean prizes at the finish! The list of contestants has been reduced to the actual workers in the race. Every contestant whose name appears in the list has turned in subscription money. Still, there remains in the list those contestants who have fallen by the wayside; contestants who in the early stages of the race turned in one, two, or three subscriptions, but did not make up a total of

£lO. Now these contestants are going to be dropped from the list. Every contestant who turned in at least £lO in subscription money will positively be assured of winning a prize, therefore it is very much to the advantage of all contestants who have turned in less than a total of £lO to make up that total now, so that their name will not he dropped' from the list. The next published count, which appears on Saturday, will include only the qualified contestants —that is, contestants who have turned in £lO or more, and who are positively going to win prizes. Contestants whose names are dropped oil Saturday may be reinstated again, however, with their full votes, provided these contestants turn in sufficient subscription money to make up £lO. If your name is going to be dropped on Saturday, make up your £lO immediately, so it will be placed back on the list again, and you will wiu a prize. .IMPORTANT NOTICE The Campaign Department has received a number of subscription slips and money in letters where the contestants have not sent- in a covering letter. We earnestly request that ail contestants, in mailiug money to the Campaign Department, put in a letter, or just a. slip of paper, stating the name of the contestant to whom the votes are to be credited. This will avoid any confusion, and'the possibility of the votes being credited to the wrong contestant.

THE following list includes only votes polled up to Monday. Subscriptions paid on Monday and Tuesday are not included in this count, but will appear in the next, count.
