DEATH AT CROSSING
OPENING OF INQUEST An inquest" into the death of Mr. Alexander Johnston, aged 68, who was killed as a result of being struck by the Whangarei express at the Argyle Street crossing, Morningside, on Tuesday evening, was opened by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., yesterday. Evidence of identification was given by Alfred William Bellamy, a boot manufacturer, who lived next door to Johnston. Ho said Johnston was a little hard of hearing, but his eyesight wan good. The inquest was adjourned.
