EVENING CEREMONY
BRIDE WEARS ARMLET OF FRAGRANT FLOWERS ; PH ILLIPS—-EDDOWES A frock of ivory taffeta over shell pink was chosen by Ruby Margaret, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Eddowes, of Pa* hara, Bella Vista Road, Herne Bay, for her marriage to Will McKay, second son of Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Phillips, of Stratford, at St. Stephen’s Church on Tuesday evening. ! The Rev. Frazer Barton performed the ceremony. I The bride, who was given away by | her father, wore her frock fashioned with a corsage pouched over one hip and caught with a spray of orange blossoms, tho skirt which fell in fuller fold at one side was finished with an ankle-length hem of ivory net, tho yoke and long sleeves were also composed of net. Her brussels net veil, which formed the train, was arranged on the head with clusters of drar.go blossoms, and she wore an armlet of cyclamen, sweet peas and daphne tied with tulle streamers. Aliss Eva Eddowes, sister of the bride, and Aliss Margaret Phillips, sister of tho bridegroom, were bridesmaids, wearing frocks in replica of daffodil georgette, with long scalloped capes suspended from the shoulders to the waist and uneven hemlines of daffodil silk lace. They wore daffodil pann© velvet hats gathered in folds a.t the back of the neck and armlets of autumn-tinted flowers. The duties of best man were carried out by Air. Colin Smart, of New Plymouth, and Air. W. A. Eddowes was groomsman. After the ceremony a reception was held at Pahara, the home of tho bride’s parents, where Airs. Eddowes received her guests wearing a frock of navy ' satin beaute, with georgette yoke and sleeves and a tiered skirt of accordianpleated georgette. Her black hat was trimmed with ospreys and she carried a bouquet of cyclamen-shaded flower. Mrs. Phillips, the bridegroom’s mother wore a frock of amethyst crepe romaino and a black hat. Sh© carried a bouquet of pansies.
