OTAHUHU CHURCH IS PRETTILY DECORATED FOR AFTERNOON WEDDING

A very pretty and interesting wedding was celebrated yesterday afternoon at St. Joseph’s Church, Otahuhu, when Kathleen Muriel Ims, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs T. H. Elliott, Mangere Road, Otahuhu, was married to William Raymond, eldest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. E. Fell, of Southbridge, Christchurch. The church had been prettily decor- : ated with bowls of arum lilies and bows of satin ribbon. The service was conducted by . Father Dumphy, assisted bv Alon- ; signor Cahill, and Airs. Harden pre- , sided at the organ. The bride entered the church with her father, wearing a frock of ivory • satin with silver lace; the flared skirt ; was fashioned to form an uneven hemline. A hand-embroidered tulle veil was caught to the head and clasped with sprays of orange blossom on each side and she carried a shower bouquet. The bride was attended by her sifters, _ Alisses Ethel and Gwen Elliott, wearing frocks fashioned alike, in nile green georgette over silver lame, and shell pink georgette respectively. Each wore a headdress of tulle, finished with side posy in shades to harmonise with their bouquets. Miss Pattie Elliott, niece of the bride, was flower girl, wearing a period frock of forget-me-not blue taffeta, with a bandeau of silver leaves on her head. Her posy was of pale shades. Air. E. Riley was best man and Air. > J. Alathieson was groomsman, j Master Tommie Elliott acted as page j His quaint suit was of shell pink vell vet, with ruffles and sash of pale blue | georgette. I T ,. Lat f r a reception was held ip the Kingsland Hall, Otahuhu. Airs. Elliott wore a frock of wedgewood blue repp, with relief of beige, and a small beige telt hat and fox furs. The bride travelled in cherry jersey velour, worn under a nut brown fur | coat and close-fitting hat.
