ANNUAL MEETINGS AUCKLAND CLUB'S GOOD YEAR Showing a sound surplus on the year’s working, and an excellent record of club and competitive success, the annual report of the Auckland Bowling Club was unanimously adopted at last night’s meeting. Mr. E. A. Craig, who presided over a large attendance of members, referred to the good quality of the greens, and the fine work of the Ground Committee. The new green was a distinct success. A motion that single club competitions be played on the sudden death instead of the two-life system was defeated by a narrow majority. It was decided to enter for the pennant competition again, and that the club put forward an increased quota. Appreciative reference was made to the exceptional services rendered to the club by Mr. E. A. Craig during two years in the presidency, and a vote of thanks was carried by acclamation A special vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. J. P. Mason for services rendered in the organisation of tournaments and otherwise. A number of trophies awarded for various club competitions was presented during the evening. The following officers were elected: —President, Dr. Tracy Inglis; vice-pre-sidents, Messrs. A. G. Graham, R M. Ilacket and A. D. Gray; honorary secretary, Mr. S. REMUERA CLUB More than 80 members attended the annual meeting of the Remuera Bowling Club. Air. E. E. Daniels presided. The report showed that the club had an excellent year. The balance sheet showed a profit of £124. In club competitions the winners were as follow*:—Champion singles, J. H. Mingins; champion pairs, R. G. Noton, P.
