Mangere Central Club

GAY ANNUAL FUNCTION The Mangere Public Hall was the scene of a very successful function last evening, when the Mangere Central Tennis Club held its annual dance. Visitors were present from a number of neighbouring clubs, and Bengali's Orchestra provided an enjoyable programme of dance music. Messrs. W. J. Paul and M. Rennie carried out the duties of masters of ceremonies. The supper tables were prettilydecorated with tall vases of Iceland poppies and masses of maidenhair fern. The supper arrangements were in the hands of the following members of the committee: Misses E. Rennie, AI. Ellett and M. Canham, assisted by Mesdames Paul, Jones, Kirk bride and Aliss Goosman.
