LONDON

“THE DOCTOR’S SECRET”

One of the most fascinating of the many one-act plays by Sir James Barrie is entitled “Half An Hour,” and the talking screen version is now at the London Theatre, under the title of “The Doctor’s Secret.”

The main part of the action takes place in London, in the course of half an hour, between 7.30 p.m. and 8 o’clock. In that period a woman decides to leave her husband, the man she is eloping with is run over and killed, she returns to her husband and retrieves the letter she had left him, and at 8 o'clock she turns to welcome some guests for dinner.

Ruth Chatterton gives a wonderful portrayal in the leading role. H. B. Warner appears as her husband.

Good talkie supports are also being shown.
