Middlesex won on the first innings. Gloucester, in the first innings, got 150 (Dipper 61), and in the second 366 (Hammond 199, Lyon 72). Surrey, in its first innings, made 194 (Hobbs 83). Goddard took five wickets for 67. In the second innings Surrey lost seven for 149. Surrey won on the first innings. Derby made 136 in its first innings. Freeman took nine for 50. In the second innings Derby lost nine for 385 and declared (Townsend 104, Jackson 140). Kent, first innings, got 107. Mitchell took four for 42. The second innings realised 215. Mitchell took five for 50. Derby won by 199 runs.
