ALL CREEDS MOURN

ARCHBISHOP'S FUNERAL AT CATHEDRAL LATE LORD DAVIDSON United P.A. —Ey Telegraph — Copyright Reed. Noon RUGBY, Friday. The remains of the late Archbishop Lord Davidson, who was Primate of England for nearly 30 years, were buried this afternoon at Canterbury Cathedral. The grave -was under the open sky within the shadow of the cloisters. Hundreds of wreaths were piled nearby. The Archbishops of Canterbury and York, and six Bishops, took part in the funeral service.

The congregation was representative of all denominations, including the Moderator of the Church of Scotland, heads of the Free Churches and Greek Archimandrite.

Prior to the service, the coffin lay in the choir of the Cathedral and a multitude of mourners of all classes filed past during the morning, paying a last tribute.

A memorial service was also held at Saint Paul’s Cathedral, where the officiating clergy included Dean Inge and Bishop Kensington. The first part of the funeral service took place in Westminister Abbey last evening. The large congregation included representatives of King George and the Prince of Wales. The service was conducted by the Dean of Westminster, Dr. K oxley Norris, and the Archbishops of Canterbury and York, Dr. Cosmo Lang and Dr. W. Temple, were present.
