TE AWAMUTU STOCK SALE
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, Hamilton, report that at the Te Awamutu stock sale on Thursday there was a smaller entry of beef .than usual, and prices showed an improvement on late sales. Sheep and store cattle were also penned in smaller numbers. AVe quote:—Heavy fat cows and heifers made £8 17s 6d to £9 15s; medium fat cows, £7 17s 6d to £SlOs; light fat cows, £6 10s to £7 6s; killable cows, £5 to £5 15s; store cows, £3 10s to £4 10s; boner cows, £1 10s to £ 210 s; in calf Jersey heifers, £6 to £6 10s: yearling Jersey heifers, £2 10s to £3 4s; dairy heifers, £8 to £9; others, £6 10s to £7 10s. Prime fat lambs. £1 ss; two-tooth ewes, £1 Is; cull lambs, 9s 7d. Porkers, £2 to £2 2s; stores, £1 Ss to £1 13s; slips, 19s to £1 2s; weaners, 11s to 14s.
