ANNUAL MEETING HELD From Our Own Correspondent THAMES, Today. General regret was expressed at the annua] meeting of the parishioners of Hikutaia Anglican Church at the retirement of Miss Lucy Robinson, who had for the past five years conducted the Sunday School. The Rev. Mr. Weedon, who presided, made special reference to her painstaking and thorough work. Officers were elected as follow— President, Rev. Mr. Weedon; actingpresident, Mr. V. Young; secretary, Miss Thompson; treasurer, Mr. C. W. "Watts; committee, Mesdames Jack Murdock, Jeff Murdock, E. Turner, G. Thompson, A. Robinson, Misses L. Robinson and E. Thompson, and Messrs. V. Young, A. Bax, A. R. Robinson, W. Alley, E. Turner and C. AY. Watts.
Mr. A. R. Robinson expressed the thanks of the parish to the vicar. Mr. Vowles was the recipient of a letter of thanks for a donation toward the painting of the church.
