RHYTHM CLUB
DANCE AT MANGERE BRIDGE The second dance of the Rhythm Club was held in the Parish Hall, Aiangere Bridge, on Saturday evening. Very effective were the decorations of geranium red streamers and green, the colour scheme matching the uniforms of the orchestra. During the evening, a demonstration of the quick-step skaters’ waltz and slow fox-trot was given by Aliss Molly Ballantyne and Mr. Bruce, of the Margaret O’Connor Studio. Music was provided by the Rhythm Girls. Among those present were: Airs. Short, wearing midnight blue crepe de chine; Mrs. French, oriental satin; Mrs. Erdman, beaded georgette; Airs. Sharp, black embossed georgette; Aliss AT. Cameron (Christchurch), green crepe de soie; Aliss Beckwith, lemon georgette; Aliss C. Brydon (Christchurch), mist bine georgette; Aliss S. Massey, airforce blue satin beaute and diamente; Airs. Comp, floral crepe de chine; Airs. E. J. Foley, mist pink georgette with frilled tulle panels inset with powder blue and silver ribbon; Aliss Nota Casey, forget-me-not blue georgette and beaded bridge coat: Aliss Gwen Allen, oriental crepe de chine with black and lame bridge coat; Aliss J. McKenzie, seagreen crepe de chine. Aliss Rose Steadman, in scarlet crepe de chine; Aliss Dorothy Court, powder blue taffeta; Aliss Joyce Court, shell pink satin; Miss AI. Hall, ivory crepe de chine; Miss O. French, rose pink charmeuse; Aliss E. Shortt, briar rose taffeta; Aliss J. Biss (Christchurch), -almond green figured crepe de chine: Aliss K. Alassey, daffodil silk lace; Aliss E. West, mauve satin: Miss Edna Bridgens, almond green crepe de chine: Aliss AT. Hewitt, ivorv satin: Aliss X. Camp, green and silver lace; Aliss M. Camp, shell pink satin; Miss L. Kelly (Christchurch), beaded ninon.
