TWENTY-FIRST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION An enjoyable evening was spent on Saturday at the Orient Tea Rooms, Newmarket, to celebrate the coming-of-ago of Aliss Glen Burgess. Airs. Lewis, mother of the guest of honour, received tlio guests wearing a frock of navy blue satin beaute. Aliss Glen Burgess wore apricot georgette with uneven hemline. i Among those present were; Aliss X. Adeane, in cyclamen brocade and taffeta; Airs. Cornthwaite, wine crepe de chine; Miss A. Simmons, jade green crepe de chine and georgette; Aliss AI. Cornthwaite, silver beaded black georgette; Aliss AI. Bowden, gold lace over satin; Aliss P. Adeane, silver sequined black satin faille; Airs. Campbell, green lace over crepe de chine; Airs. Speir, rosepink satin beaute and georgette; Aliss E. Burgess, black embroidered moire and taffeta bow; Airs. A. Rule, brown satin beaute and brown lace; Aliss D. Thompson, blue taffeta; Airs. Elmbraneh, wearing tomato crepe de chine and georgette; Airs. Lewis, navy blue satin beaute; Mrs. Johnstone, green crepe de chine; Miss X. Baker, cameo pink taffeta; Airs. New, black satin; Airs. Maguire, grey satin beaute and lace; Miss AI. Birt, pink georgette; Airs. J. Telford, nile-green faille; Aliss Aletcalfe, nile-green lace with uneven hemline.
