WORK OF YEAR REVIEWED PRESIDENT RETIRES The last meeting of the year of the Auckland Baptist Assembly was held at the Baptist Tabernacle, when the president. Mr. F. TV. Gage, briefly reviewed the work of the year and received the various reports of the churches. The Rev. M. \V. I*. Rascelies. general secretary and treasurer of the Bapti.Union of New Zealand, attended : meeting, and also Messrs. Shearer. ' Wellington, and H. Toneyclitffe. of Cii:--borne, who were warmly welcomed by the president. The Rev. John Uaird, M.A.. reported on behalf of the Evangelistic Commit tee and a resolution was passed thaT will come before the delegates of the conference to be held in June. R*ports from the churches were deliv - ered by the secretary, the Ret. Hiddlestone. The committee was appointed to govern and control the Manures * Children's Home for the incoming year. The rules of the circulating loan fund and report were given by Mr. F. Kendon. Further arrangements for the forthcoming June conference to be held «’ Otahuliu were entered into. It was decided to supply transport facilities for the visiting delegates coming from suburban districts. The secretary, the Rev. J. Hidd estone. on behalf of the members, expressed the gratitude and thanks tc, the retiring president, who had with wisdom, clarity and great efllciencv carried out his duties during the p.»at year. The vote was carried with acclamation and the benediction concluded a busy session.
