SMOKED IN THEATRE

TWO OFFENDERS FINED Smoking in a City theatre led to fines of 10s each, and being imposed on Herbert Stanley W atkins and Maurice Mayor in the Police Court this morning. An usher of the theatre said complaints concerning smoking in theatres had been received from the Fire Board. The two accused had admitted the offence and a slide notifying the rules concerning smoking had been shown on the screen at the theatre.
