TRAIN-LENGTH VEIL OF LOVELY HONITON LACE

GEORGETTE AND LACE WEDDING GOWN HAGEN—WILDE The Avondale Baptist Church was the scene of the marriage of Beatrice, only daughter of Mrs. E. Wilde, of Avondale, to James, youngest son of Mrs. S. Hagen, of Morningside. The Rev. H. K. Kempton performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. W. Wilde, wore a frock of ivory georgette and Chantilly lace, with a full ankle-length skirt. Her veil of honiton lace, which formed the train, was held in place with a coronet of orange blossoms and she carried a shower bouquet of white and pink flowers. Miss E. Jackson was bridesmaid and wore a gown of moon-mist blue georgette with an uneven hemline and a large bow at the back. She wore a hat of blue tulle and carried a bouquet of pale pink flowers.

The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. N. Sirchfield. At the reception, which was held later, Mrs. Wilde received the guests wearing a frock of navy satin beaute with a hat to tone. Mrs. Hagen wore a black georgette frock and a black hat.

TUAKAU BRIDE IN PALE PINK CHIFFON AMD SILVER LACE

FULTON—LOWRY St. John’s Anglican Church, Tuakau, was, on Tuesday last, the setting of the wedding of Kathleen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Lowry, of Tuakau, to Norman James, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dynes Fulton, also of Tuakau. The Rev. C. A. Vaughan officiated. Given away by her father, the bride v ore a frock of pale pink georgette and silver lace. The skirt fell in graceful points and was finished at the waist with small circles of silver. Her embroidered veil, which formed a train, was caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of pink dahlias, sweet peas and maidenhair fern tied with pink satin ribbons. The bridesmaids. Misses Doreen Lowry and Theo. Clarke, were dressed alike in frocks of pale / mauve georgette relieved with rings of silver lace and pink rosebuds. Each wore a felt hat and carried bouquets of shaded dahlias and maidenhair fern. Mr. D. Fulton was best man and Mr. W. Fulton groomsman. The bride’s mother received her guests wearing a frock of dark green relieved with fawn and a hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of autumn- j tinted flowers and maidenhair fern. The mother of the bridegroom wore a black frock relieved- with blue, and carried a bouquet of dahlias and maidenhair fern. Mr. and Mrs. Fulton will reside at Pukekawa.
