DANCE PARTY
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT SANDRINGHAM happy evening- was spent in the Carlton Hall, Sandringham, on Saturday evening to celebrate the 19th birthuay of Aliss Myrtle Taylor, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, of IS Vincent Road, Mount Albert. The guests were entertained with games and dancing. Items were given by Miss Daphne Taylor, Miss Irene Dong. Mr. Chadderton and Mr. James. Prizes for the Monte Carlo dance were won by Miss Nellie Gqw and Mr. V. Sherwood, and the games were won by Mrs. J. Hoole and Mrs. McGregor. ; Supper was served in the supper room | where the tables were daintily decorj ated. Excellent music was supplied by Rowell Bros.’ Orchestra, and Mr. H. 1 Kilduff acted as M.C. The guests were received by Miss Myrtle Taylor, who wore a frock of apricot georgette with insets of dainty lace, and finished with a tulle bow forming an uneven hemline. She was assisted by Mrs. Taylor, jun., who wore a white satin frock relieved with silver lace and tulle bow. Mrs. Taylor wore a midnight blue ensemble with knifepleated beige and oriental trimmings. ! Miss Violet Taylor chose eau de nil georgette trimmed with dainty pink and silver lace motifs. Among those present were: Mrs. J. Hoole, in black tulle, relieved with gold; Mrs. S. Chiswell, fawn crepe de chine and lace; Nurse Williams, fawn marocain; Mrs. S. Wilson, nile green and ecru lace; Mrs. J. T. Chadderton, peacock green crepe de chine; Mrs. D. Walkden, flame crepe de chine; Mrs. CuHey, black georgette, diamente buckle; Mrs. Boddv, java brown satin and gold relief; Mrs. Dicks, black georgette; Mrs. J. i?mith, fiorai georgette; Mrs. J. C. Xesiield, mauve georgette relieved with lemon; Mrs. McGregor, black crepe de chine; Mrs. Gordon, embossed chenille; Mrs. Curran, navy moire embossed georgette; Mrs. J. Little, white satin beaute; Mrs. Ferrif, navy crepe de chine; Mrs. P. James, coral taneta peaked with georgette; Mrs. H. Kilduff. sunset taffeta appliqued with autumn tints. Mrs. S. Pickens, wearing green satin; Mrs. F. Lenihan, sea green taffeta; Mrs. Walker, floral georgette; Mrs. Kerr, navy crepe de chine and beige lace; Miss P. Gordon, daffodil georgette; Miss Bessie Scott, cerise crepe de chine; Miss Boddy, hand-painted lemon georgette; Miss Evelyn Bruce, power blue satin and tulle; Miss D. Culley, paris blue figured georgette and crepe de chine; Miss A. Hart, mauve tulle over mauve satin; Miss B. E. Spooner, powder blue chiffon taffeta; Miss Edna Herd, sunset taffeta; Miss Mavis Bickerton, pink crepe de chine; Miss L. Small, mauve crepe de chine; Miss Nellie Herd, green shot taffeta; Miss Sylvia Kerr, pink georgette; Miss Marjorie Smith, powder blue crepe de chine; Miss G. Nicholson, black satin; Miss Nellie GoW, emerald green satin and tulle. Miss M. Williams, who wore blue taffeta and white georgette; Nurse Elliot, blue figured ninon; Miss Una Aldridge, lime green satin and tull£; Miss Nellie Kerr, blue crepe de chine; Miss O.
