MONTHLY MEETING OF DISTRICT EXECUTIVE The monthly meeting of the Auckland District Executive of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in the Temperance Society’s rooms. Queen Street, on Alonday afternoon, Airs. Alorgan Richards presiding. The local unions were well represented. Arrangements were put in hand for the annual Peace Day in Alay and it was decided to take charge of a stand for the sale of poppies on Poppy Day, It was reported that Bible reading was now established at 59 schools in the Auckland district. Unions were urged to interest themselves in the forthcoming school committee elections and see that more women were elected on school committees. Airs. Alorgan Richards, who had just returned from the Dominion Convention held in Timaru, gave a splendid report of that convention, which had been generally considered one of the most inspiring and successful gatherings yet held.
