CAR SMASHES BRIDGE

RESULT OF COLLISION A collision between two motor-cars on the Great South Road at about 6.30 last evening resulted in one of the cars crashing through the stone parapet of the Tamaki Bridge, and coming to a stop with the front wheels overhanging the embankment. A running-board of the car was torn off. and one tyre burst. The occupants of both cars esca.ped Injury.
