RADIO CONFERENCE ENDS
FIRST ANNUAL DINNER The first annual convention of the New Zealand Amateur Radio Transmitters’ Association was brought to a close on Saturday night with a dinner held in the Akarana Yacht Club's rooms. The annual report was presented, and a number of items given. Mr. H. P. V. Brown, of Christchurch, was in the chair. A lengthy toast list included “The King.” “The Visitors,” “The Post and Telegraph Department,” “Kindred Associations and Radio Societies,” “Absent Friends.'’ “The Secretary, Auckland Branch,” “Headquarters, Officers, Past and Present.” The following items were contributed: Piano selections, Air. Bob Fowlds; selected numbers. N.Z.A.R.T. Jazz Bund; popular songs. Air. J. Housego: mock trials, N.Z.A.R.T. Court: instrumental numbers and choruses, Air. J. Housego and Mr It. Fowlds. A picnic which was to have taken place at Alotuihi yesterday was pqstj boned for a fortnight owing to the i unsettled weather conditions.
