The musical side of the programme is a special treat. Under Ted Henkel’s expert hand, the Civic’s big symphony orchestra plays the overture and other selections on the moving barge, also gay music from the famous stage band. On the dancing side there are spectacular dances by the remarkable Continental trio, Ramon, Madeline, and Pedro, colourful scenes and snappy dancing by the Civic’s corps de ballet. Daisy Belmore and Frank Terry, who are featured in “Medals,” Gary Cooper’s first starring picture for Paramount, all made their stage debut in the Drury Lane Theatre, London. “Medals,” w hich was adapted from the play “The Old Lady Shows Her Medals.” by Sir James M.
